Marketing Council Survey

We have recently reviewed this report and it is saying a few key things about marketing behaviour amongst B2B companies. These show that a lot of our thinking at PDG is spot on:

Marketing is under pressure to deliver profit
We show our clients return on investment wherever possible by measuring numbers of responses / interactions on as much of our projects as possible

Marketing people are under pressure to pick up new technology and use it effectively
We try and show our clients leading edge technology not just best practice, we make sure we explain our services clearly and use information marketing wherever we can

Marketing needs to be measurable to prove its strategic worth
Which it is not currently seen as doing by senior management!

Marketing is perceived as highly valuable when used tactically
We know this and do a lot of tactical work with web, direct mail and dynamic media under our extreme dm header

Marketing needs to be more integrated to internal communication channels
We are pushing awareness of this on the back of work we are doing for key clients in internal marcomms

The ability to profile / segment is key to the development of databases, enabling better relationship marketing
We are looking to do more of this as we go, our 4g web strategy is the cornerstone of this

A key factor in marketing is the closer integration with sales
See www.smartsalestools.co.uk

Consumers are talking to each other more due to the internet enabling more word of mouth marketing
This is why clients needs use blogs, cms driven web sites etc, which is why we are doing this

Permission marketing is replacing Interruption marketing

We have spotted this one and have the tools in place to enable this in the form of 4G web sites for all our clients

Exchanging good, relevant information for value [email address] is a key driver for consumers
This is why we use things like landing pages, eMarketing campaigns and also the 4g web strategy

Key areas for marketing service providers [ie PDG] are personalisation, customisation and tribal marketing
We are pioneering new software used for personalisation and actively use tribes as the basis of our client campaign

EGGSELLENT EFFORT FOR COMIC RELIEF

The PDG team have been busy like many other companies doing their bit for Comic Relief, marking the day with a fundraising event in the office. In addition, our staff have also been given maximum creative freedom when given an open brief to 'decorate an egg'. You can now vote on what you think is the best egg.
